Delivered as a printable web page. We'll also email you when Queensland tenancy laws change.
Why this exists
Queensland tenancy law changed in 2022, 2023, 2024 and again in 2025. The rules are spread across the RTA, the Queensland Fire Department, the QBCC and the Electrical Safety Office. Agents pay staff to track it. If you self-manage, nobody tracks it for you, and most breaches are offences even when accidental.
Every rule in one place
Grouped by when it applies: before a tenancy, at the start, during, every year, and when it ends.
Sourced, not guessed
Each item links to the official page it came from so you can check the wording yourself. Last verified 18 October 2026.
Kept current
When the law changes, the checklist is updated and you get one email about it.

Landlord Minder will hold the key dates for each of your properties and remind you by email and text before each one is due. You tell us the lease start date, the last rent increase, when the alarms were installed and whether there's a pool. We do the rest.
